WHETSTONE, Ariz. -- The Cochise County Sheriff's Office seized 36 blasting caps that were found inside a store in Whetstone.

Workers at the Blue Opal Gem Store were cleaning and re-organizing Monday morning when they found what appeared to be explosive blasting caps, according to CCSO spokeswoman Carol Capas.

The sheriff's office bomb technician and an officer from the Department of Public Safety EOD squad responded to the scene. They located 36 non-electric blasting caps in a glass display case on a shelf.

The caps were removed from the scene for disposal.
