PHOENIX -- Several factors come together to bring higher storm chances for Arizona over the next few days. Today is expected to be calm and warm, with partly sunny skies and a high of 101 degrees. Isolated storms are possible tonight and patchy blowing dust is also a possibility.
A trough of low pressure is forecast to swing down from the northwest tomorrow, while abundant tropical moisture from Hurricane Marie surges our way from the south. The best chance for Valley rain will be tomorrow morning and heavy rain is once again a possibility. Storms could linger into the afternoon hours before a more quiet weather pattern takes over for Wednesday.
Temperatures should peak in the 90s tomorrow under mostly cloudy skies. We'll rebound to the triple digits for the rest of the week and should stay dry and warm for next weekend as well.
