PHOENIX -- Investigators are trying to determine the cause of a fire that damaged a Phoenix strip mall Thursday night.

The Phoenix Fire Department was called to the area of 35th Avenue and Camelback Road around 8 p.m.

Fire Capt. Ruven Saavedra said multiple fire engines attacked the large blaze in the back of the building from different locations.

Saavedra said crews encountered heavy rain, winds and downed power lines but were able to contain the flames to one business.

No injuries were reported.
