PHOENIX -- After a day of heavy rain and widespread flooding, all was calm to start the day on Wednesday. There is still lots of moisture in the air, so high humidity could be felt, even with fairly mild morning temperatures in the 70s.
This afternoon, look for partly cloudy skies and a high of 99 degrees. While there is a chance for isolated thunderstorms this afternoon and this evening, a better chance exists tomorrow. A low pressure system currently off the California coast will move through the Desert Southwest tomorrow. Look for a high of 97 degrees tomorrow and an increased chance of potentially heavy rain.
On Friday, drier air moves in from the west, cutting storm chances dramatically for both Friday and Saturday. No storms are expected in the Valley on Sunday and into early next week.
