Storm cleanup underway after destructive monsoon stormsPosted: Updated:

Storm runoff and wet conditions slowed traffic during the morning commute.
The National Weather Service says showers lingered into mid-morning and that south Phoenix got hit hard with 2-3 inches of rain.
There were no immediate reports of extensive damage, but the Phoenix Fire Department says 16 people were rescued Tuesday evening from vehicles stuck in flooded streets.
