PHOENIX -- It was a pleasant start to the day with clear skies, mild temperatures and drier conditions across the Valley. Temperatures in the 70s were expected to eventually warm to around 105 degrees this afternoon with abundant moisture. Overnight lows will continue to be mild with dry air and clear skies expected.
A dry, southwesterly flow of air will keep monsoon moisture at bay through the rest of the workweek. Any storms will likely stay limited to the high country of Eastern and Southeastern Arizona.
High pressure will return to the Four Corners by Friday, returning a flow of moisture and increasing storm chances Friday and through the weekend.
For the Valley, at least a 10 percent chance of afternoon and evening storms is expected those days.
