TEMPE, Ariz. -- Tempe Farmer's Market is open seven days a week, and is a great place to buy local produce and local products.

National Farmers Market week is Aug. 3-9.

"Farmers markets connect and unite people living in urban and rural environments, provide access to fresh, healthy and delicious foods, and -- best of all -- put a face to the farmers and ranchers who produce their wonderful wares," Agricultural Marketing Service Administrator Anne L. Alonzo wrote on the USDA blog.

As 3TV's Ryan O'Donnell found out, Tempe Farmers Market does not only all of that, its indoor setting also is a great place to escape the summer heat.
