PHOENIX -- After an active monsoon weekend across Arizona, a weather pattern change is in store for the new week ahead.
The upper-level low that helped trigger some of this weekend's strong storms has now moved north into Nevada. Drier air moving in with a southwesterly flow will limit storm potential this week, especially in the deserts of the state.
Look for a Valley high of 104 degrees today under mostly sunny skies. About the same can be expected the rest of this week, with highs between 104 and 106 degrees and overnight lows in the mid 80s.
Monsoon moisture is expected to return by the weekend leading to an increased chance of storms across the state Saturday and Sunday.
