PHOENIX -- A woman was hit and killed by an SUV Friday night while crossing a Phoenix street with a wheeled walker, according to police.

Police responded to a report of a serious injury collision on Indian School Road near 11th Avenue around 8 p.m.

According to police, a GMC Yukon was traveling east in the curb lane and struck 59-year-old Dawn Cherrone when she entered the roadway.
