PHOENIX -- Monsoon storms fired up again late Thursday night, bringing heavy rain and damaging winds to the West Valley.  Buckeye saw more than an inch of rain in a short amount of time, and strong microburst winds flipped several RVs and injuring several people.

Valley residents woke up to sprinkles, cloudy skies and cool morning temperatures in the upper 70s and low 80s. Storm chances are slim today but increase a bit this evening.

Look for a high of 103 this afternoon under partly sunny skies.  The southwest part of our state should be the most active today, and patchy blowing dust is also possible in the Valley.

Over the weekend, look for increased storm chances, slightly cooler temperatures and mostly cloudy skies.  There's about a 40 percent chance of rain and thunderstorms in the Valley Saturday and Sunday.  Look for an afternoon high of only 101 degrees Saturday and temperatures peaking only in the upper 90s on Sunday.

Drier and warmer conditions are on tap for next week.
