Wells Fargo offers $5K reward in Scottsdale, Mesa robberies

MESA, Ariz. – Wells Fargo is offering up to $5,000 for information leading to an arrest in connection with two bank robberies.

The Wells Fargo branch inside a Safeway store near Hayden and Chaparral roads in Scottsdale was robbed at approximately 3:45 p.m. on June 11. The Wells Fargo Bank near Baseline and Dobson roads in Mesa was robbed at about 11:30 a.m. on July 26.

Investigators believe the robberies were committed by the same man. He is described as a white male with a medium build, 40 to 45 years old, approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall and 180 to 200 pounds.

Surveillance photos show the suspect with a black laptop bag and a handgun.

Wells Fargo is offering a $5,000 reward for original information leading to the identification, arrest and conviction of a suspect.
