MESA, Ariz. -- Members of Arizona Big Train Operators are showing off their model trains at Mesa Library and offering a free workshop on how to get started building your own set.

3TV's Heidi Goitia talked to Mike Temenski, the president of ABTO, and librarian Maren Hunt about the event.

Train enthusiasts will experience more than 300 feet of G-scale tracks with double main lines, garden size trains (1.5 to 2 times the size of O-scale Lionel trains), and dioramas with scenes from Arizona rail towns. ABTO members will be on hand to answer questions and provide historical information about Arizona railways.

A raffle prize for free coach tickets on the Verde Canyon Railroad and Grand Canyon Railway will be given away along with other prizes.

Hours for the exhibit are Thursday, 10 a.m.-6 p.m., Friday, 10 a.m.-4:30 p.m., and Saturday from 10 a.m.-3 p.m.
