BULLHEAD CITY, Ariz. (AP) -- Authorities in northwestern Arizona say a Bullhead City man has been arrested for allegedly abusing his girlfriend's daughter. Bullhead City police say 46-year-old James Allen Mangold was booked Tuesday into the Mohave County Jail in Kingman. He's being held on suspicion of aggravated assault per domestic violence, child abuse per domestic violence and aggravated domestic violence. Police say an elementary school reported that a 5-year-old student had large red marks on her hands and feet along with large red marks and-or bruises on her buttocks. Authorities learned that the girl, her 10-year-old sister and mother have been living with Mangold for about a month and he allegedly had been disciplining the child with a stick. Police say Child Protective Services have been notified. It's unclear if Mangold has a lawyer.
