SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -- Scottsdale police think that two robberies of Circle K stores in the area on July 27 may be related, according to a Scottsdale Police Department release.

At 3 a.m. on July 27, a suspect entered a Circle K, displayed a small handgun and demanded money. The clerk handed him an unspecified amount and the suspect fled in a black Tahoe SUV.

At 9:45 p.m. on the same day, a suspect entered a different Circle K in Scottsdale, displayed a small handgun and once again demanded money. The clerk at this store refused to give the suspect cash and the suspect left the store on foot.

In both cases, the suspect is described as a Native American or Hispanic man in his mid or late 20s. The suspect is between 5-foot-2 and 5-foot-7 and was wearing a black baseball cap and a black t-shirt in both robberies.

There were no injuries or surveillance footage in either case.
