PHOENIX -- A Phoenix man was arrested after allegedly leaving his 2-year-old son home alone and impersonating an undercover officer.

Kaleb Gage Pence, 21, was seen riding his motorcycle at an apartment complex near Indian School Road and Maryvale Parkway on Wednesday. He was reportedly wearing a sidearm and carrying a rifle.

According to police, Pence told apartment managers he was an undercover officer looking for his wife and presented a badge.

Meanwhile, Pence's son was found alone at his home near 87th Avenue and Indian School Road by Pence's grandfather.

According to Maricopa County Superior Court documents, Pence has been charged with impersonating a peace officer and child abuse, both felonies.
