SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -- A Scottsdale man was arrested Wednesday night after allegedly threatening his live-in girlfriend with a handgun.

Nicholas Cain, 32, reportedly got into an argument with his 33-year-old girlfriend at an apartment near 68th Street and Thomas Road and held her down while threatening her.

Police said three children were in the apartment at the time.

Cain was taken into custody without incident and later booked into jail on aggravated assault charges and weapons violations.

Two guns were found underneath a nearby vehicle in the parking lot. Police believe Cain had placed them there.

No one was injured, according to police.
