Periodic closures planned on I-10 west of PhoenixPosted: Updated:
BUCKEYE, Ariz. (AP) -- Interstate 10 will be periodically closed west of Phoenix this Sunday morning.
The Arizona Department of Transportation says drivers can expect delays and congestion due to the planned intermittent closures resulting from the installation of power lines over I-10.
According to ADOT, the closures for the work being done by Arizona Public Service Co. will take place 43 miles west of State Route 85 for up to 15 minutes at a time between 5 and 9 a.m.
ADOT says Department of Public Safety officers will stop traffic each time and that there will be flaggers and reduced speed limits near the work zone.
