PHOENIX – A Phoenix woman was arrested following a fatal double shooting that stemmed from a drug-related robbery, according to police.

Chrystal Alexandra Capilla, 22, faces charges of first-degree murder, armed robbery, conspiracy to commit armed robbery, kidnapping and tampering with physical evidence.

Fausto Castillo-Romo and Capilla's boyfriend, Eric Boozer, were found fatally shot in her apartment near Seventh Street and Dobbins Road on July 15. Boozer had a stocking mask over his face, according to court records.

Police said it appeared there was an attempt to clean up the scene. They found detergent on top of blood in the kitchen and officers said it appeared that evidence had been removed.

During the investigation, police learned Castillo-Romo was attempting to sell 50 pounds of marijuana to Capilla, but that she and Boozer were planning to rob him of the marijuana.

As Capilla, Castillo-Romo and another woman, who allegedly was the go-between, entered the apartment, Boozer came out of a coat closet and forced Castillo-Romo and the woman to the ground.

Boozer attempted to tie Castillo-Romo up with zip ties while holding a handgun on him, according to court documents. The two men got into a struggle and exchanged gunfire.

Castillo-Romo was shot in the torso and Boozer was shot in the head. Both died from their wounds.

Police said Capilla admitted to returning to the scene to remove the marijuana and the handguns.
