PHOENIX -- Look for sunny and hot conditions today in the Valley with temperatures rising to about 104 by noon and an afternoon high of 110 degrees.
One last day of sunny, hot and dry before our monsoon weather pattern begins to shape up. Isolated to scattered storms are expected today up on the Rim and possibly Gila County. There's a slight chance that could push some dust into the Valley, but chances for blowing dust increase over the next couple days as storms are expected to come a bit closer. Tropical Storm Douglas moisture could push a gulf surge into Arizona, increasing storms across the state tomorrow.
Tomorrow, there is a slight chance of Valley storms, with an increased chances for blowing dust. Storm chances peak on Friday, the 4th of July, with a 30 percent chance of thunderstorms Friday afternoon and evening. Temperatures will be a bit cooler Friday, topping out near 105 degrees, but it will feel muggy. Storm chances continue Saturday and Sunday, along with the potential for blowing dust.
