PHOENIX -- A sunny and hot Monday is expected. Look for temperatures to rise to about 102 degrees by noon, with a high of 109 degrees this afternoon.
A very hot week is ahead. The hottest days are expected to be Tuesday and Wednesday with Valley highs near 111 degrees. On Thursday, temperatures begin to come down a degree or two as monsoon moisture begins to move into Arizona from the south
While there is a slight chance of Valley storms Thursday through Sunday, there is a better chance we'll see some blowing dust during the afternoon or evening hours Thursday or Friday thanks to outflows from storms that form to the southeast of the Valley.
At this point, the Fourth of July is looking hot and sticky with a forecast high of 108 degrees and a slight chance for thunderstorms and blowing dust.
