PHOENIX -- Hundreds of people are expected to attend the candlelight vigil Saturday for the 20 dogs that died at a Gilbert area boarding facility.

Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio is among the people planning to attend and says he wants the owners of the dogs to know his investigators are doing everything they can to find out what happened.

Investigators are trying to determine whether the owners or caretakers of Green Acre are to blame for the heat-related deaths of the 20 dogs. The business owners said a dog chewed through a wall and wiring, causing the air conditioning to shut off.

The vigil will be held at 7:30 p.m. at Cesar Chavez Plaza in downtown Phoenix.
