NOGALES, Ariz. -- Customs and Border Protection officers arrested an 18-year-old Mexican national after finding 4.5 pounds of methamphetamine hidden inside an accordion.

Officers said Eloy Renteria-Ortiz tried to smuggle the meth into the United States through the Port of Nogales on Monday.

Officers said nearly $13,600 worth of meth was wrapped in black tape and stashed in the center of the accordion.

The drugs and instrument were seized.

Renteria-Ortiz was turned over to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement's Homeland Security Investigations.
