PHOENIX -- Another hot day is on tap for the Valley, but there are a few changes in store.  We'll see a high of 107 degrees today under partly sunny skies with breezy conditions this afternoon.

A trough of low pressure passes by to our north today, bringing stronger winds out of the southwest.  There is a Red Flag Warning in effect for much of Northern Arizona for dry and windy weather, making for dangerous fire weather.  In the Valley, we'll see breezy conditions, with winds between 10 and 20 mph.  Although we may get some high clouds, no rain is expected from this system.

Weather models continue to indicate our monsoon high setting up over Arizona next week, leading to some very hot weather by midweek and eventually some monsoon moisture finally arriving possibly late next week.
