OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- Swimmer Michael Phelps and tennis star Venus Williams highlight the 22 athletes who will be featured in the ESPN The Magazine Body Issue, which will hit newsstands on July 11.

The keystone to the issue is the "Bodies We Want" section, where elite athletes will be featured in tasteful nude poses.

Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch, Arizona Cardinals receiver Larry Fitzgerald, Texas Rangers slugger Prince Fielder and Oklahoma City Thunder forward Serge Ibaka are among those who will be included.

"It's a pure celebration of the athletic form," ESPN The Magazine senior deputy editor Neely Lohmann said. "You know you are seeing exactly what these athletes' bodies look like. Readers are able to relate to some of these body types, maybe not to others, but you see a little of everything represented."

Bernard Hopkins, the 49-year-old light heavyweight champion who will be one of the oldest athletes to appear in the six-year history of the issue.

"He takes exceptional care of himself, and he's very, very proud of that," Lohmann said. "It all goes back to us wanting to have an incredible mix of athletes - all different shapes, all different sizes, all different ages. We love the diversity represented in the Body Issue."

The issue will have at least five covers.

Others to appear include Jimmy Spithill (sailing), Tomas Berdych (tennis), Nigel Sylvester (BMX), Omar Gonzalez (soccer), Travis and Lyn-z Pastrana (action sports/X-games), Jamie Anderson (snowboarding), Amy Purdy (Para-Olympics), Danyelle Wolf (boxing), Aja Evans (bobsled), Hilary Knight (hockey), Megan Rapinoe (USA soccer), Angel McCoughtry (WNBA), Coco Ho (surfing) and Ginger Huber (cliff diving).

Fielder, a 5-foot-11, 275-pound first baseman, offers a different frame than the usual subject.

"He's proud of his body, and he wanted to show it off," Lohmann said. "We always say that the Body Issue celebrates the athletic form, in all its shapes and sizes. He looks fantastic."
