SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -- How many jumps can you do in 45 minutes? SICFIT Scottsdale is inviting the community to jump rope for local kids this June in its 6th Annual Jump Rope-a-Thon.

Last year SICFIT Scottsdale athletes, family and friends raised more than $10,000 in their fundraiser.

This year, they're hoping for even more. 100 percent of the proceeds raised will go to the Playworks Arizona Foundation. The organization provides a place for every kid on the playground, a place where every kid belongs, has fun and is part of the game. It also offers an essential opportunity for children to explore their imaginations, to connect with other kids and to stretch and grow physically, emotionally and socially.

"At all of our SICFIT Gyms, we believe in fundraising," says Coach Luke Kayyem. "It's a very important part of what we do in our culture and our business and our brand."

This year, they are encouraging even more community members to raise money by a flat donation or in the amounts of $0.01, $0.05, $0.10 and $0.25 cents per jump. It's free and open to all ages and fitness levels. Just show up to any of the classes, jump until you are tired, rest and then jump some more.  All classes on the Jump Rope-A-Thon Days are free if you participate.

There are prizes for top fundraisers and jumpers.
