PHOENIX -- A mostly sunny Tuesday is on tap with about 100 degrees expected by noon and a high of 107 this afternoon. Winds this afternoon will be from the southwest between 10 and 15 mph.
Mostly sunny and near-normal afternoon temperatures are expected the rest of this workweek.
Thursday could be a bit more breezy with a few clouds, but we'll stay dry as a trough of low pressure stays too far to our north to bring any rain to Arizona.
Over the weekend, high pressure begins to build back over our region, which will lead to two changes. The first will be hotter temperatures, as our highs start to climb on Sunday and could be back near 110 degrees by Monday. By the middle of next week, this could begin to import some deeper monsoon moisture into Arizona, and we could begin to see storms in the eastern portions of our state.
