Prescott bank robber sought by police

PRESCOTT, Ariz. -- Members of the Prescott Police Department are searching for the man who robbed the Compass Bank on East Gurley Street in Prescott.

At 9:45 a.m. on June 23, a lone man entered the bank and gave the teller a note demanding cash. For safety purposes, the teller complied and gave the man the money. The suspect then left the bank through its south exit.

The suspect is described as a white man in his early to mid twenties. He is approximately six feet tall and has a medium build. In the bank, he was wearing a maroon shirt with gray sleeves and a gray pocket, black shorts, a gray and black flat-brimmed baseball cap and dark sunglasses.

No one was injured during the robbery and the suspect never showed a weapon.
