PHOENIX -- Best known for playing Brandon Walsh on the iconic '90's show "Beverly Hills, 90210," Jason Priestley is catapulting his signature charm into space in his new series -- "Creative Galaxy."

An actor, director and producer, Priestly adding author to his resume; HarperCollins is publishing his memoir, "Jason Priestley: A Memoir" this year.

"Creative Galaxy," which is from the creator of "Blue's Clues," is an animated interactive art adventure series, designed to inspire kids' creative thinking through crafts, story, music and dance.

Because not all of his projects are kid-friendly, Priestly told 3TV's Kaley O'Kelley that he is looking forward to sharing "Creative Galaxy" with young children. Priestley's daughter is 7 and his son is 5, so they fall squarely into the target audience for "Creative Galaxy."

"For the last four years, I've been working on a show that's decidedly an adult show, that my children cannot watch for a very long time," he said. "For me, it's just nice to be a part of a show that I can actually share with them and enjoy with them. They can actually watch and they can actually understand what it is that daddy does for a living. ... I jumped at the opportunity to be a part of this project."

"Creative Galaxy" premieres on Amazon Prime Instant Video on Friday, June 27.
