PHOENIX -- Mostly clear skies and hot temperatures will continue through the week as a series of low-pressure systems tracking north of Arizona keep a dry westerly flow through the state.
Sunday afternoon, Phoenix Sky Harbor reported a high temperature of 107. The morning low was 83. The normal high for this date is 106. The day’s record is 116, which was set in 1988.
There will be very little change in day-to-day temperatures through Thursday. In the Phoenix-metro area, look for morning lows in the upper 70s with daytime highs around 106.
By the end of the week, a stronger Pacific low-pressure system is expected to move through the region. This will bring breezy to windy conditions across the state and a drop in temperatures Friday and Saturday with continued dry conditions.
