PHOENIX – A registered sex offender is accused of molesting two girls at a Phoenix park Thursday afternoon.

Charles Styles, 43, was booked into the Maricopa County Jail on four counts of sexual conduct with a minor.

Phoenix police said a man inappropriately touched the two girls, ages 6 and 7, while they were in the women's restroom at Falcon Park near Roosevelt Street and 35th Avenue.

Sgt. Tommy Thompson said one of the victims ran out and told a teenage family member, who confronted the man. He then got into a car and left the scene, but the victims and teen obtained the license plate number of the vehicle.

Police found that the car was registered to a residence on the Gila Indian Community. Officers with the Gila River Police Department located the vehicle on Beltline Road and Styles was taken into custody.

Styles was turned over to the Phoenix Police Department after it was determined that he was not a tribal member.

Thompson said Styles was identified by the parties involved as the suspect in this case.
