Peoria police search for suspect in attempted pharmacy robbery

PEORIA, Ariz. – Peoria police are asking for the public's help to identify a suspect in an attempted pharmacy robbery.

Police said the suspect entered a grocery store pharmacy near Olive and 91st avenues just before 4 p.m. Monday. He then presented a note to an employee demanding specific narcotic pills.

The employee refused to provide the suspect with pills and he left the store.

The suspect is described as a black male, 25 to 35 years old with short dark hair and a goatee. He was last seen wearing dark pants, white tennis shoes and a red shirt.

Anyone with information about the suspect is asked to contact the Peoria Police Department at 623-773-7045 or Contact Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS to remain anonymous. An individual could receive up to a $1,000 reward.
