PHOENIX -- Have you ever heard of "parlor magic?" Back in the day, the rich and famous would hire performers to come to their homes to put on private shows. It was invitation-only and very exclusive.

Now, a little-known theater in Scottsdale is putting on similar shows with illusionist Craig Davis and his assistant, Myryka.

Davis combines the artistry of illusion with the spectacle of the circus. He has been entertaining audiences as a professional illusionist, magician and juggler since 1980, even performing his own stage show at the age of 12.

His acts are unique and original, and include comedy, audience participation and original music. You might be surprised by some belly-dancing, juggling, and even some trained tropical birds.

Davis even does a "Circus of Fire" show, and puts on a great act for kids.

But for now, audiences can catch him in Scottsdale on Friday nights. "We're very excited to be presenting in our native Arizona, at the beautiful Cattle Track Theater," he says. "We're doing shows generally every Friday night."

The theater has been there since the 1930s, but many folks don't know about the variety of shows offered there. "There are currently 25 artists who call Cattle Track home," says Davis.

Cattle Track Arts Compound is located at 6105 N. Cattle Track Road in Scottsdale. It sits on on 13 acres off of Cattle Track Road, opposite Miller Road, between McDonald and Lincoln drives.
