PHOENIX -- As a trough of low pressure passes to the north of Arizona, we’ll see some slightly cooler temperatures through the weekend.
Highs are expected to be a bit below normal in most locations. In fact, it looks like we’ll stay on the influence of westerly winds in the upper atmosphere for much of next week resulting in a continuation of the nice temps.
The flip side is all the moisture in our state (there were a few T-storms in southern Arizona on Friday afternoon) will be swept off to the east. So, even though the Arizona Monsoon begins by the calendar on Sunday, June 15, there probably won’t be any thunderstorms anywhere in the state.
