YUMA, Ariz. (AP) -- Transportation officials say a stretch of interstate east of Yuma has reopened following a crash and fire.

The Arizona Department of Transportation says Interstate 8 eastbound near Yuma fully reopened at approximately 2 p.m. Thursday after a traffic crash involving a tractor-trailer around 8 a.m.

According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, a commercial truck carrying corrosive liquid caught fire on I-8 about 35 miles west of the Arizona-California border.

DPS spokesman Carrick Cook says one person was treated for inhalation.

Cook says the fire was extinguished and hazmat crews cleaned up the scene.
