PHOENIX -- There were a few very light sprinkles around the Valley on Wednesday morning. That was associated with some additional moisture being pulled into the state around a strong high pressure system in north central Mexico.
The ridge of high pressure will remain in place through the end of the week and continue to bring us the dry weather, with slight chances for a few thundershowers in the mountains of eastern and southeastern Arizona.
A trough of low pressure will pass to the north of Arizona beginning this weekend. That will scour out any moisture that has accumulated and drop temperatures a few degrees in most locations.
For the weekend into the middle of next week, we’re looking for highs to be right around 105 degrees in metro Phoenix.
