'Staycation' at Sheraton Wild Horse PassPosted: Updated:
PHOENIX -- You don't have to drive far to beat the heat this summer. Some of the best family-friendly "staycations" are right here in the Valley.
On Tuesday's Good Morning Arizona, Heidi Goitia showed us some of the perks of s summer stay at the Sheraton Wild Horse Pass Resort and Spa.
This summer, the programs are all about families, and keeping kids happy and entertained. "We have pool-time games, we have watermelon eating contests, songs and s'mores" explains resort spokesman Stephanie.
It's all part of the Sheraton Adventure Club, an exciting program for children 4-12, featuring unique and cultural programs such as Native American Arts & Crafts, Stories and S'mores on Friday evenings and fun-filled poolside activities supervised by the Resort's Department of FUN!
On select weekends this summer, the resort is also partnering with SEA LIFE and LEGOLAND Resort.
Junior guests will enjoy the magic of a fun-filled day of programming, including a three-in-one toy-building session complete with races, games and loose brick play. In addition, they will partake in interactive stations and a touch-tank experience from SEA LIFE Arizona. "They will have games," says Stephanie. "They will get to pet the starfish."
Upon arrival junior guests will receive a valuable “Build Master” amenity bag complete with gifts from all partners. They will also enjoy the “Love your Family” poolside reception, gaming stations and a specially designed buffet for each child enrolled in the workshop.
More information on that camp is available online.
