PHOENIX -- Burton Barr Central Library will be hosting a photo exhibit about the devastating 2013 Yarnell Hill fire. The exhibit, titled "The Yarnell Hill Fire: 25 Days Later," will feature work by photographer George Berke.

Berke visited Yarnell 25 days after the fire that killed 19 city of Prescott firefighters. Berke was astounded by the destruction and loneliness of the area, according to a press release. The photographs of the exhibit are expected to showcase that emotion and paint a vivid image of the event.

While Berke currently works for the Arizona Republic, he may be most well known for his work on the Times-Picayune's Pulitzer Prize-winning "Oceans of Trouble," a 1997 series about the world's dwindling fish populations.

The exhibit will run from June 17 to August 12, with an opening reception featuring Berke from 6:30-8:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 19.
