2 Displaced by north Phoenix attic fire

PHOENIX -- Two people were displaced after a fire started in the attic of their north Phoenix home Saturday morning, according to the Phoenix Fire Department.

Firefighters were called to the house near 25th Avenue and Cactus Road shortly before 10 a.m.

Phoenix Fire Capt. Ruben Saavedra said crews arrived on scene in less than three minutes and determined the fire was isolated to the attic. They quickly searched the home and began protecting property while coordinating a fire attack.

Firefighters extinguished the flames and began moving valuables outside.

The Phoenix Fire Crisis Team is assisting the occupants.

No injuries were reported.
