PHOENIX -- A Phoenix man whose infant son ingested methamphetamine and began having seizures has been arrested on suspicion of child abuse, according to Maricopa County Superior Court documents.

Christopher A. Telles, 24, reportedly told investigators that he had been crushing meth with his thumb at his apartment on the morning of April 27 and then used his thumb to calm his crying child.

The 11-week-old boy began seizing and was taken to Maricopa Medical Center by his mother and Telles, according to court documents.

Telles was arrested Wednesday at his apartment near 26th and Roosevelt streets.
