PHOENIX -- An area of low pressure will slowly move through the desert Southwest today through the early weekend, keeping daytime highs below normal.
There will be a slight chance of afternoon and evening thunderstorms over the higher terrain of the forecast area as the low pressure moves through the region.
A gradual warming trend will begin from west to east, with above-normal temperatures returning by early next week.
For the Valley, we’re looking at below-normal temps through Saturday, then a quick warmup on the backside of the holiday weekend. By Memorial Day, we’re looking at high temperatures around 102 degrees in metro Phoenix.
