Manuel H. Martinez By Jennifer Thomas
ARIZONA CITY, Ariz. – Pinal County sheriff's detectives arrested a 65-year-old-man accused of molesting children in Arizona City and Tucson.
Manuel H. Martinez, of Arizona City, was booked into the Pinal County Jail for one count of child molestation and three counts of sexual abuse.
According to Sgt. Pat Ramirez with the Pinal County Sheriff's Office, in February the parents of two of the victims learned that Martinez was accused of molesting a girl. They discussed the allegations with their two children and both reported being molested by Martinez.
The girls, ages 13 and 15, said the alleged crimes started when they were very young and also occurred when one was 10 and one was 12.
Ramirez said the victims' parents confronted Martinez and he allegedly admitted to molesting the girls. The parents said the alleged crimes occurred in Tucson and Arizona City.
PCSO investigators said there was probable cause to arrest Martinez for the alleged crimes occurring in Arizona City and he was taken into custody on Thursday.
Martinez faces similar allegations in Tucson and further charges may be filed in Pima County in the near future.
