PHOENIX -- Summer is almost here, which means we need fun things to do with the kids. Let's keep choruses of "I'm bored" to a minimum without breaking the bank.

If you want to visit Big Surf this summer, head over here to get half off tickets. You'll pay $13.95 instead of $27.95. If you buy six tickets, you can use promo code ALICIA15 to save an extra $15 off (the code gets you $15 off any purchase of $75 or more). Get your friends to go in on tickets and you'll pay just $68.70 for six tickets ($11.45 each). You'd pay $167.70, almost a hundred bucks more, for six tickets at the door. The deal ends on Thursday night or when they sell out.

The McDowell Mountain Ranch Aquatic Center has a great deal going on right now. Through the end of the month Scottsdale residents can get a family pass for just $140 (usually $400), while non-residents will spend $210 (usually $600). This includes admission to the aquatic center for up to four family members, use of the fitness center, and the lap pool. Normal price for public swim is $6 for Scottsdale residents, $9 for non-residents for adults. The aquatic center has a lazy river, a water slide, and lots more with lifeguards everywhere. Head over here for more information about the May deal.

Another great resource to keep in mind this summer is the library with the Culture Pass program. You can "check out" Culture Passes with your library card. These passes admit two people to fun activities all over town like the Children's Museum of Phoenix, the Arizona Science Center, the Heard Museum, the Phoenix Zoo, and many other fun places all over town. At many libraries,  you can check Culture Pass availability online since they do go fast. Head over here for more information about the program.
