PHOENIX -- A cold front is forecast to move across Arizona today, generating dry and windy weather.
Afternoon temperatures will be slightly cooler, peaking near 95 degrees in the Valley. Skies will stay clear as relative humidity drops today and winds pick up. The Valley could see 15 to 25 mph winds out of the southwest this afternoon, with gusts up to 35 mph.
A Red Flag Warning is in effect for much of the state today, including the Valley for dry and windy weather. The Warning is in effect for the Valley from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Wind speeds will ease up a bit tonight and even more tomorrow for a couple of calm and mild days.
Look for afternoon highs in the low 90s Wednesday through Friday under partly sunny skies.
On Thursday and Friday, we see some moisture returning to the atmosphere and we could see some showers and thunderstorms in Northern and Eastern Arizona.
Memorial Day weekend looks to bring a warm-up, with low 90s for Saturday in the Valley, mid 90s for Sunday and upper 90s on Monday.
