PHOENIX – Detectives with the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office seized 3 pounds of methamphetamine and arrested five suspects following an undercover operation.

Priscilla Carbajal, 32; Ricardo Moran, 36; Elizabeth Davalos, 28; Jesus Cebreros Rivera, 26; and Fabian Valenzuela Rivera, 35 were arrested Thursday afternoon in the area of 43rd Avenue and McDowell Road.

According to Officer Chris Hegstrom, detectives met with the sellers of the methamphetamine in a supermarket parking lot. The suspects were in possession of two Tupperware containers each containing 1.5 pounds of a white crystalline substance, which tested positive as meth.

Detectives also seized two vehicles.

All five suspects were booked into the Fourth Avenue Jail on charges of conspiracy to sell methamphetamine. Cebreros Rivera and Valenzuela Rivera were in the United States illegally.

"These arrests and seizures are leading up to a crackdown by this office against street-level drug dealers and users," Sheriff Joe Arpaio said.
