PHOENIX – Police have arrested a third suspect in a homicide and armed robbery at a Phoenix smoke shop.

Lorenzo Garcia, 24, was taken into custody on Tuesday. He was booked into jail on charges of first-degree murder and armed robbery.

Police said Garcia, Jesse Ruben Mesa, 21, and Alex Garcia, 18, were involved in the shooting death of Kadhim Al-Taee, 47, on April 29 at the Smoke N Pipe store near Indian School Road and Fifth Avenue.

Al-Taee's Cadillac Escalade was stolen during the crime. Police found it abandoned in Peoria on Monday.

Alex Garcia and Mesa were arrested earlier this month after police received a tip. Police found several items believed to be stolen from the store in an apartment near Camelback Road and 15th Avenue where the suspects were located.

Alex Garcia and Mesa face charges of first-degree murder, armed robbery, auto theft and arson of an occupied structure.
