PHOENIX -- It was pretty windy around parts of Arizona on Tuesday and we expect some breeziness to continue into Wednesday.
The peak wind gusts around the state were in the 40 mile and hour range, including Apache Junction, which had a wind gust of 46 miles an hour, and downtown Phoenix at Chase Field where a 41 mph wind gust was recorded.
It will stay pretty breezy around the Valley overnight into tomorrow. By tomorrow afternoon, the winds will start coming down statewide.
In the meantime, temperatures will be headed up. By Friday, and through the weekend, expect high temperatures in the range of 100-104 degrees around metro Phoenix. Still, we’re not in the triple digits for very long as some more cooling is expected by the middle of next week.
