PHOENIX -- Patients at Phoenix Children's Hospital got some special furry visitors Monday.

The PetSmart Inspiration Waggin' Tour brought puppies to visit sick kids at the hospital. The tour is designed to turn everyday moments into "pet-inspired ones."

The first-ever Inspiration Waggin' bus has embarked on a six-city tour in the United States and Canada. While in Phoenix Monday, the Inspiration Waggin' stopped by Phoenix Children's Hospital to bring patients, parents, siblings and staff a much needed furry playtime break.

"It makes me feel pretty happy," said Jon, a young patient.

"Usually he just comes and has his appointments and we leave, so today was really exciting," said one mom, Kathy Moody.

"We are bringing pets out  to help make people smile and just make them happy," said Melissa Galloway of PetSmart.

"He is now excited and happy that we came instead of just kind of dreading what he had to do today," said Moody. "And now he is super glad, as soon as he saw them set up out there."

"I think it's pretty cool that they take the time to come here and let the kids play with the dogs and have fun," said Jon.
