PHOENIX -- After a windy and dusty Mother's Day in Arizona, we'll get a short break from the winds Monday.
The Valley will see temperatures warm up just a bit today, peaking near 87 degrees this afternoon under clear skies. Winds should stay fairly light, but are expected to pick up again tomorrow.
Valley residents can expect 15 to 25 mph winds both Tuesday and Wednesday, with slightly higher winds expected in the high country. Fire danger will be especially high with no rain in the forecast and windy conditions.
Skies will stay clear and Valley temperatures will peak in the low 90s Tuesday and in the mid 90s on Wednesday.
Strong high pressure builds over our region late this week and temperatures begin to rise. Look for high temperatures near 100 by Thursday, climbing to about 104 by Friday and Saturday.
