MCSO: Man stole luggage, tried to return items to Target

FOUNTAIN HILLS, Ariz. -- The Maricopa County Sheriff's Office is searching for a man who stole a piece of luggage from a hotel parking lot and tried to return the items he found inside to a nearby store.

The luggage was reportedly stolen from a vehicle outside the Fountain Hills Comfort Inn near Shea and Saguaro boulevards shortly before 8:30 p.m. April 22.

Inside the luggage was a Target bag containing items purchased at the store earlier that day. The sheriff's office said about 15 minutes after the theft at the hotel, the man walked into the Fountain Hills Target and tried to return the items.

He is wanted for trafficking stolen property, a class two felony.

The man is described as being in his 20s, between 6 feet and 6 feet 2 inches tall, and 250 to 300 pounds. He has short dark hair and sideburns.

He was last seen wearing a black short-sleeved T-shirt with red writing on the front, black basketball shorts with white strips, and black and white sneakers.
