Mesa PD: Man purchased Girl Scout Cookies with counterfeit $50

MESA, Ariz. -- A man was arrested Wednesday after allegedly using counterfeit money to make purchases including Girl Scout Cookies.

Mesa police say Wayne Dubrul passed counterfeit $50 bills to various stores and people.

On Feb. 23, Dubrul allegedly purchased a $4 box of Girl Scout Cookies with a counterfeit $50 bill and accepted $46 in real change.

He was booked on eight counts of forgery, a class four felony.
